OPALS strive to be transparent about our costs, which is why we have always displayed them on our website.
We start at a basic price including all the necessary components you need to be able to hold a funeral, therefore there are less hidden extras, but we do list optional extras so you can have the funeral that is right for you.
OPALS support, guidance and services to arrange the funeral – £1,980
This includes an initial meeting to discuss the funeral and ensuring you are aware of the many local options available.

Transferring the person who has died into our care (Monday – Friday 8am – 4pm) within a 20 mile radius * & Caring for the person that has died at Hedgerley
Childrens & Babies Funerals – Babies & Children up to 10 years old £680 Children aged 11 to 17 £1,280 – Further assistance is available towards cost. Please contact us for further information.

We know we offer very favourable prices. We are always happy to offer flexibility should your needs differ.

We request payment at least 3 days before the funeral. Our preferred method of payment is BACS

Opals Direct Cremation. £1,580 fully inclusive of Disbursements
A Direct Cremation separates the cremation from the ceremony, or maybe if you do not wish to have a funeral ceremony this might be the ideal choice for you. See our ideas page.
There is no service with this option. We use Chiltern Crematorium for the cremation and will keep you fully informed of the date this takes place.
You would be welcome to spend time in our family room to say your ‘Goodbyes’ (a closed coffin). This is included in our price.
If you wish to visit your loved one this can also be arranged. Please enquire.
You can collect the ashes from Chiltern Crematorium or you can collect them from us in Hedgerley (or we can arrange for them to be delivered within a 20 mile radius £80 – Over 20 miles POA).
