A family from Chesham had decided to take control of the funeral of their beloved Aunt. They were doing all the paperwork and liaising with the relevant authorities. They contacted me as they wanted a Funeral Celebrant for the service, but hadn’t as yet employed a Funeral Director. Their Aunt was still at the hospital and they needed help to transport her to Amersham Crematorium from Aylesbury, they also needed a coffin.
I visited them in their home the following evening and shared some happy memories of their Aunt that would enable me to write the tribute. I arranged to go and collect their Aunt from the hospital the following week, take her back to our premises, dress her and place her in her coffin, which I supplied. We then transported her to the crematorium for the service the following day. Her niece arrived with a beautiful Christmas wreath which she had made herself. The service was made extra special by a poem read by her great niece aged 13. It was a real privilege to assist this family.
